「角樂．實驗室」是一個社區創新的實驗室亦是一個屬於每個人的遊樂園，讓孩子和大人在遊戲玩樂之中重拾大角咀海陸變遷的社區歷史，探索區內傳統工藝的可持續未來。
設計通過與五金、剪折及木匠師傅合作，將大角咀傳統白鐵、木框架等造船相關工藝與環境設計技術結合創新，利用白鐵與膠合竹工藝營造自然、舒適的公共空間。旋轉的建築造型借鑒船體形態亦呼應「轉 - 角」主題，創造起伏海浪的意象。重現大角咀海陸變遷的空間特色、激活社區的集體回憶，共同想象大角咀的社區未來。
We imagine a social innovation lab that doubles as a playground for EVERYONE in the community, a place to play, learn, and gather our collective memories of Tai Kok Tsui’s transformation histories between sea and land, exploring the sustainable future of local crafts and material cultures.
Through collaborations with metal and timber craftsmen of local boat manufaturing industry, the design develops methods to innovate traditional crafts by integrating the emerging environmental design technologies. The fluid form of the vessels creates an image of the moving waves and reactivates the public’s collective memory of Tai Kok Tsui’s unique spatial quality and material cultures between sea and land, provoking a new imagination of Tai Kok Tsui’s urban future.
