Ábalos + Sentkiewicz, Atelier Deshaus, and Su Chang Design Research Office are finalists for the Dongguan Binhai Cultural District international competition.
Located in the inner bay area of the Pearl River Estuary in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the scope of the International Competition includes urban design for the 100-hectare new harbor front area and the architectural schematic design of an art center, a public library, a cultural center, and a museum of science and technology, along with the surrounding commercial buildings and civic realm. Our multi-disciplinary team consists of architects, urban designers, landscape architects, engineers, conservation planners, and experts in cultural district programming and planning and will work closely in the next three months to envision a new model of cultural district development for the Greater Bay Area.
