This project is a part of Project Kat O, a community-based co-design initiative for coastal conservation in Hong Kong by the Department of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong.
Project Kat O is a social experiment on coastal conservation in Hong Kong. Grounded in extensive field research of the village’s architectural landscape, the initiative works in close collaboration with the community and local partners to conserve social fabric and revitalize village spaces. These collective actions invite us to imagine the island’s future, a place where built environment, natural ecology, and community heritage breathe as one.
